Terms of Service — OceanRecovery

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OceanRecovery ("the Service") at oceanrecovery.vercel.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

OceanRecovery is a payment recovery platform that automates dunning workflows for subscription businesses — including failed-payment detection, branded recovery emails, secure card-update flows, and invoice retry — via integration with Stripe.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour.

4. Payment & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. All fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. You authorise us to charge the payment method on file for recurring subscription fees.

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all new paid subscriptions. Refund requests after this period are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

If a payment fails, we will notify you and attempt to collect payment. Accounts with outstanding balances may be suspended until payment is resolved.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulation
Transmit spam, malware, or any harmful code
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code
Resell or sublicense the Service without written permission
Use the Service to process payments in a manner that violates Stripe's terms

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and all content, software, and technology within it are owned by OceanRecovery and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand features.

You retain ownership of any data you upload or generate through the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OceanRecovery shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from your billing dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the jurisdiction in which OceanRecovery operates, unless prohibited by local law.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the product. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
